What are the Desktop Analyst's tasks?
I have an interview in 3 days for the role of "Desktop Analyst" where I am required to resolve "software and hardware issues".
I know of an 'IT Help Desk' and 'IT Support' yet how does a Desktop Analyst differ from them?
Remote support of PCs is one of the tasks, so what is a difficult scenario that I need to prepare for?
I think you can not prepare on short term for it
I think you need to have deep know how in many different areas. You need to know perfect about windows, you need to know about network configuration and also about the hardware. You will be not able to prepare for this in the short term. It needs some time to get all the requiered know how and experience.
