Unable to locate package mondo

I am trying to install mondo rescue at my Linux Ubuntu Server for full system backup. I checked many tutorials on how to do it. There it is all very easy. When I do the same it only says

 Unable to locate package mondo

How can I fix this issue?

I tried much time but I only get error messages. Here is another one

The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

This means exactly what it says

It says that the OS can not find the required file on your system. This may happen if the provider of the software reduced the maintenance so that some server systems are not supported any longer. In this case, I would check the necessary files manually and if they do not exist, then maybe the software is outdated.
