How can I install mondo rescue on my server for full system backup?

I want to make a full system backup from my Linux Ubuntu Server. As the disk space is very small on this hard drive I need to back up the files to a remote computer. Therefore I created a virtual machine with VirtualBox on my windows 10 operating system and gave it a static IP address. Now I need to install the mondo rescue backup tool on my Linux Ubuntu Server and configure it this way that I can make the backup to my local virtual machine. How can I do this?

Mondo Rescue package

The latest Mondo Rescue packages for your special os version can be downloaded from the “MondoRescue Repository“. You need to use “wget” command to download and add repository under your system. The Mondo repository contains binary software packages such as afio, buffer, mindi, mindi-busybox, mondo, and mondo-doc for your distribution if they are available. You need to search the correct version for your specific OS.

But for which OS?

That's all clear but it does not work. I checked a lot of tutorials on how to install the mondo rescue tool on my Linux Ubuntu Server. The problem is that all recommendations did not work. As an example, I typed in this into ssh but it did not work:

# wget ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/ubuntu/`lsb_release -r|awk '{print $2}'`/mondorescue.sources.list
# sh -c "cat mondorescue.sources.list >> /etc/apt/sources.list"
# apt-get update
# apt-get install mondo

What I am doing wrong there? Can you be a little bit more precise on that?
