File temporary://update-extraction-1496cf9c/ds/ already exists and is write protected Drupal Modul Update failure

I tried to update some modules at my Drupal 7 based Website. Now i get some failure warning. The error message looks like this:

  • File temporary://update-extraction-1496cf9c/ds/ already exists and is write protected

Change the temporary directory in the file system to ~/tmp

You need to change the tempory directory in your file system from /tmp to ~/tmp. Then it should work again. Please don't ask my why but it works.

 

Configuration-->File System and there change the tempory directory to ~/tmp
