Can I open ClamTK from the linux prompt?
I run Linux Ubuntu without any GUI. Now I would like to use ClamAV with the GUI. I installed ClamTK on the server but I do not know how to open it. Is it possible to use ClamTK from the terminal? I get thi warning if i type clamtk
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.22/Gtk2.pm line 126.
Run clam or clamav instead
Although this question is a month old, the Tk in Clam is a graphical framework and requires a graphical environment to run.
The solution is to run clam or clamscan or clamav, whichever program (which almost certainly installed with clamtk) does not run the GUI. At the command line you can type "clam" (no quotes) and hit the TAB key on your keyboard, to see what other programs being with "clam".
I have run clamav from the the command line, but not recently.
